Coach house pool garden

The brief was to create a multi-use garden offering a juxtaposition to a 17th century coach house. The garden was to be split into 2 themes, firstly to include a new swimming pool with a showcase pool surround/terrace, then a lower garden with a more traditional feel, including a new fine lawn and mature herbaceous perennial borders.

Design

With our client’s requirements firmly in mind, our design team created a garden with high spec porcelain pool surround, complete with a new tall brick wall entrance with brick arch and bespoke gate. The Design included a new covered lounge and cooking area for increased usability. The Lower garden was to have a formal lawn edged with brick pathways to compliment the coach house exterior.

Installation process

Multiple large (non-native) trees required removal prior to the construction process being able to start. A septic tank dating back many years and now defunct required removal as this was sat within the footprint of the new swimming pool. The garden was fitted with a new non-slip Luxury porcelain pool surround, as well as a covered outdoor lounge area with outdoor kitchen. This was created with a bespoke cooker, grills and fridge, complete with granite worktops. A lower garden was created with a softer cottage style, adding the required contrast specified by our client. All borders were planted with dense perennial planting varieties and fitted with an automated irrigation system for maximum growth potential.
